and diverse Musical Theatre Teacher/Director to work with our 7 - 18-year-olds.

Your ability to commit to 36 term-time sessions is paramount as we pride ourselves on continuity and the progression of our learners

About Us

Footlights is a well-established, multi-award-winning stage school that offers high-quality training to 3 - 18-year-olds. Many of our children work professionally with recent credits including RSC's Matilda the Musical UK Tour, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang UK Tour, Game of Thrones, CBBC's The 4 O'clock Club, Katy and The Dog Ate My Homework. We also have our own casting agency.

Formal Qualification(s) in Acting (Bachelor's Preferred)

Job Type / Category: Contracted Acting Tutor

You will be working weekly during term time on Saturday mornings 9.45 to 1pm. You will be progressing all children as performers across a variety of genres such as theatre and TV acting, presenting, voice-overs and radio.

Person Specification:

Experience of working with 7 - 16-year-olds (Preferred) Good working knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies and activities to develop learner's acting and performance abilities Passion for Musical Theatre Experience of producing and directing informal stage performances with children A 'team' player with the ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team. Excellent oral communication skills, especially in relation to staff, students and parents/guardians. Positive, enthusiastic, empathetic, energetic, flexible with a pro-active 'can do' attitude. DBS checked or willing to obtain one. (We will assist with this.) Safeguarding and/or First Aid (desirable but not essential)
