SUMMARY OF ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated Activity and Social Media Coordinator with knowledge in the charity sector, to lead and oversee the day-to-day activities and management of activities within Wolverhampton LGBT+
The Activity and Social Media Coordinator will be the welcoming face and voice of our charity for participants and volunteers at WLGBT+ activities.
You will be overseeing and developing our range of activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support, fostering a positive, inclusive and compliant environment for volunteers and service users. You will be expected to have knowledge and understanding of the LGBT+ community, particularly the challenges faced by this community.
You will set and uphold excellent standards of work and bring the team together to provide the best possible services. You will strive to ensure that the overall vision of the charity is achieved.
This role involves some commitment to occasional evening or weekend work, facilitating activities or working with volunteers on personal growth and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Activity Development
Assess the needs of the community and identify gaps in existing activities.
Leading the development and implementation of new activities and initiatives to address these needs effectively
Activity Delivery
Oversee the day-to-day operations of activities.
Attending multiple and various activities each month to ensure that volunteers deliver the same high standard support to participants. Ensuring that participants voices and ideas are heard and actioned (where applicable).
Event arrangement to include developing infographics and uploading to event platforms.
Data reporting and analysis of data from activities
Ensuring high-quality delivery of services/activities.
Meeting targets
Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
Volunteer support
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers
Maintain a programme of personal growth and development for volunteers, including monitoring compliance with training requirements
Supporting a diverse team of volunteers
Fostering a positive and inclusive work culture
Support with expenses and invoices where applicable
Social Media
Maintain regular updates on the organisation's social media platforms
Engage with service users though social media messaging (where appropriate)
Schedule posts on social media to advertise events and activities
Reporting and Evaluation
Prepare regular reports, statistics, and evaluations
Measuring the impact of the organisation's services
Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance service provision
Safeguarding and Compliance
Ensure the implementation and adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures
Maintaining compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks
Health and safety compliance
Community Engagement
Actively engaging with the local LGBT+ community
Consider new service ideas and developing to launch
Listening and acting upon new ideas and improvements
Covering Hub Coordinator duties as and when required
