Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Weekend Activities Coordinator to create vibrant, engaging experiences for our residents. In this role, you will design and implement a variety of recreational activities that promote social connection, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your creativity and energy will help foster an inclusive, uplifting environment where seniors and individuals with disabilities feel valued and inspired.
Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including memory care and dementia-specific programs
Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into individual care plans
Organize special events, outings, and community programs to encourage socialization
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during activities
Manage and balance the activity calendar to meet diverse preferences and needs
Monitor resident engagement and adjust activities accordingly
Maintain records of participation, progress, and feedback
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in event planning or group activities within assisted living or long-term care
Knowledge of senior care, including Alzheimer's, dementia, and disability support
Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
Understanding of recreational therapy techniques for cognitive and emotional well-being
Ability to assist residents with ADLs while encouraging independence
Strong organizational and scheduling abilities
Compassionate, resident-centered approach
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
