Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring activities co-ordinator to join our team for 20 hours a week over 5 days at our small, friendly, residential home in Aigburth

You will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, some of whom are living with dementia. The successful candidate will plan, organise, and deliver a variety of meaningful and engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities



Develop and deliver a programme of daily activities and events suited to residents' individual interests and abilities. Encourage resident participation and inclusion, adapting activities to support those living with dementia or reduced mobility. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider care team. Liaise with external entertainers, community groups, and volunteers to enrich the activities programme. Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and resident engagement. Support residents to celebrate special occasions, festivals, and themed events.

About You



Compassionate, patient, and respectful towards older people and those living with dementia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative and resourceful, with the ability to motivate and engage residents. Organised, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role or within a care setting is desirable, though not essential.
