Methilhill Community Children's Initiative (MCCI) is a community group and registered charity dedicated to providing clubs, activities and experiences to our local children, young people and their families.
In 2025 we are expanding our community services and will be opening a centre which will provide a community cafe, people's pantry and groups, clubs and activities.
MCCI is managed by a voluntary board of community members.
Job Purpose
The task of the activities coordinator is to liaise with management to plan and facilitate a range of activities based in MCCI centre. Hours of work will be afternoons and evenings.
Main Duties
To plan a programme of activities for the community for all age groups
To supervise the children and provide activities and resources when required.
To participate in sessions
To use resources budget to ensure maximum value for money
To ensure resources are prepared as required
To complete risk assessments as required
To liaise with professionals to plan groups as required
To support assistants and volunteers
To deal with enquiries relating to the project
To work within the policies and procedures of MCCI
To attend training as required
To monitor and evaluate projects and liaise with management regarding any changes required
To work hours as required, and as agreed with MCCI

Enthusiasm for community involvement

Experience of working with children and young people
Compassionate and understanding
Organisational and communication skills essential
