We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team in providing enriching experiences for residents in our assisted living and nursing home facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and staff. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through well-planned activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings.
Engage with residents on a personal level to encourage participation and gather feedback on activities.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure activities are appropriate for residents with varying levels of ability.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences to continually improve the activities offered.
Organise special events and celebrations that foster community spirit within the care home.
Requirements
Strong caregiving skills with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt activities based on resident needs.
