Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Activities Individual to join our team at a care home providing nursing and dementia care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Duties:
- Develop and implement a diverse range of engaging activities.
- Organise outings, events, and in-house activities that cater to the residents' interests and abilities.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are inclusive and tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback.
- Manage activity budgets effectively and source external resources when required.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a care home or assisted living setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with seniors, staff, and families.
- Understanding of senior care principles and dementia-specific activities.
- Strong organisational skills to plan and execute a varied activities programme.
- Qualifications in recreation therapy or a related field would be advantageous.
