We are seeking a compassionate Activities Co-ordinator to organise and oversee engaging recreational programmes within a care home . The successful candidate will be responsible promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for residents , with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life of older adults.
Duties
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music sessions, outings, and special events
Assess residents' individual needs and preferences to develop personalised activity programmes
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all residents.
Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities complement residents' care plans and safety protocols are maintained during programmes
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to evaluate programme effectiveness
Source and organise materials and resources necessary for activities
Promote social engagement by encouraging family involvement and community connections .
Skill
Strong understanding of care principles and caregiving techniques tailored to individuals with cognitive impairments
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and staff
Organised with the ability to plan diverse programmes that cater to varying interests and abilities
Compassionate demeanour with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life
Creative problem-solving skills to adapt activities for residents.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21-12.91 per hour
