Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging activities and programs for residents in an a residential care setting.
- Plan and coordinate a variety of recreational, social, and educational activities to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents.
- Create a monthly activity calendar that offers a diverse range of options for residents to participate in.
- arts and crafts, games, music therapy.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a senior care or nursing home environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with memory loss.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute a wide range of activities that cater to different interests and abilities.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise during activities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
