Access Your Care is celebrating our 15th anniversary this year. As a lead provider for care in North Somerset we are pleased to announce a brand new role for 2026.
As an activities coordinator, you will be as part of our dementia team, working with clients who have a diagnosis of dementia in our brand new day centre service.
This role is part time, working 9am-4pm (possibly 5pm some days) 2 days a week either on location in one of our day centres, or visiting clients at their homes if they are unable to attend.
This role is set to start in April 2026.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, exciting and varied activities for our clients.
- Supporting clients with personal wellbeing and daily routines.
- Working either in our day centre setting or in community engaging with clients in their own homes.
- Promoting client emotional, social and mental wellbeing.
- Communicating with internal and external stake holders regarding activities, clients wellbeing.
- Reporting back on activity outcomes and participation levels.
- Following Health & Safety procedures.
- Setting up and clearing down of day centre rooms.
About you:
We are looking for energetic, person centred candidates who are dynamic in their approach to the activities you'll be running. You will be:
- Caring and person centred. You will be working with clients with a diagnosis of dementia, you will be building positive relationships with clients.
- Creative. We are looking for someone who finds creative and interesting activities, encouraging participation whilst respecting clients choice and consent.
- Energetic. You will be the person who can walk into a room and raise spirits, this will be a very active role, having a good level of energy is needed.
- Organised. You will setting up, packing down and delivering activities throughout the day, whilst also engaging with clients, keeping track of the time and making sure everyone is well and happy. You will also be involved in the planning of activities and external visits.
