Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities that meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of residents.
Encourage resident participation by creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere.
Adapt activities to suit different abilities, cultural backgrounds, and personal preferences.
Work closely with care staff and management to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and wellbeing goals.
Actively engage with residents during activities, offering encouragement and emotional support.
Ensure activity areas are safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
Gather feedback from residents and colleagues to continuously improve activity provision.
Support special events, celebrations, and themed days to enhance the home's community spirit.
Skills and Experience
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for supporting adults in a residential care setting.
Experience in activities coordination, care, hospitality, or community roles is desirable but not essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Multilingual or bilingual skills are an advantage and can help support residents from different cultures.
Ability to organise and manage multiple activities while remaining calm and positive.
Understanding of person-centred care principles and the importance of dignity, choice, and respect.
A team player who can work collaboratively with care staff while also using initiative independently.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
