As the Activities Supervisor

,

you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive Wellbeing Programme that promotes the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents, in line with their individual needs, interests, and preferences. You will play a pivotal role in upholding residents' quality of life, embedding meaningful and purposeful activity into daily living, and ensuring the programme meets regulatory standards and best practice guidance.

You will manage, mentor, and support the activities team, ensuring all sessions are engaging, inclusive, and enriching. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will oversee the planning and delivery of activities, build strong links with the local community, and enhance the home's reputation. You will also take responsibility for programme evaluation, budget management, resource allocation, and the ongoing development of activities provision within the home.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and develop the activities team to deliver a varied and engaging programme that promotes physical health, social interaction, mental and emotional wellness, independence, and the principles of Ageing Well.

Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the home's Wellbeing Programme to meet the diverse needs of residents, ensuring continuity during staff absence and collaborative co-production with residents.

Review and update resident activity care plans and risk assessments, ensuring that individual needs, preferences, and risks are considered.

Observe, monitor, and record residents' condition during activities, maintaining clear records of participation, independence, and mood.

Your knowledge, skills and experience



1. Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events/activities for residents in all resident categories.

2. Good communication and organisational skills

3. Previous experience of working with the relevant resident group

4. Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and how they relate to activities and wellbeing in a care setting.

5. Knowledge of person-centred care principles and the "Ageing Well" agenda.

6. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

7. Competence in budget management and resource allocation.

8. IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office, email, and record-keeping systems.

You're training and qualifications



1. Qualification in remedial/occupational therapies

2. Level 3 or above qualification in Health & Social Care, Activity Provision, Leisure, or Community Development
