About the Role



We are looking for a

sporty, energetic, and enthusiastic Activity Coach

to join our team at

Willington School in Wimbledon

. This role is ideal for someone with a background in sports coaching or active play who loves getting involved, leading games, and making sessions fun.

You'll be a key part of the club's daily activity programme--supporting children across a wide age range, running structured and free-play sessions, and ensuring a safe, friendly, and happy environment.

Key Responsibilities



Lead engaging

sports sessions, active games, and outdoor play

Support a variety of activities including team games, challenges, and creative play Build positive relationships with children, supporting confidence and participation Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that encourages fun and development Work collaboratively with the site manager and wider Apres team Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies Help ensure the activity space remains clean, organised, and ready for use

Essential Requirements



Experience working with children (schools, coaching, camps, clubs, etc.) Confident leading group activities, especially active or sport-based sessions A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine enjoyment of working with children Strong communication and teamwork skills A current DBS check or willingness to obtain one

Desirable (but not essential)



A recognised

sports coaching qualification

(or equivalent experience) Childcare qualifications (Level 2 or 3) Paediatric First Aid training (or willingness to complete it) Experience running games, sports clubs, or youth sessions

Hours



Monday to Friday

, 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Term-time only

Occasional opportunities for extra hours during school holidays
