Activity Coordinator - Enrich Lives Through Meaningful Moments
We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and enthusiastic
Activity Coordinator
to join our care home team. This role is central to enhancing the wellbeing of our residents by planning and delivering engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and joy.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, and lead a variety of activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities (e.g. arts and crafts, music, games, gentle exercise, outings).
Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into daily routines.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external entertainers or volunteers.
Maintain records of attendance and feedback to improve future sessions.
Celebrate seasonal events, birthdays, and special occasions with creativity and care.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role or working with older adults is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to plan inclusive and enjoyable activities.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving residents' quality of life.
Basic IT skills for scheduling and documentation.
A relevant qualification in health and social care or activity coordination is desirable.
