Purpose of the Role:
Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is seeking an Activity Coordinator for their Tunbridge Wells site. The postholder will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a varied programme of recreational and wellbeing activities for Service Users (SUs) living on site.
Working closely with local organisations, charities, and community groups, the Activity Coordinator will help create meaningful opportunities for engagement and community integration. All activities must be inclusive, culturally sensitive, and tailored to the needs, interests, and backgrounds of the SU population.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver a weekly and monthly programme of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, language classes, cultural events, and wellbeing sessions.
Gather SU feedback regularly and adapt activities to meet their needs and interests.
Ensure all activities are risk assessed and comply with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Build partnerships and coordinate visits, workshops, and events with local organisations, charities, and community groups.
Promote SU participation, ensuring activities are inclusive, accessible, and supportive.
Identify and escalate welfare concerns to the appropriate internal teams.
Maintain accurate records, manage activity resources, and produce monthly reports.
Work collaboratively with managers, support teams, and volunteers, attending meetings as required.
Stay informed about local opportunities and respond promptly to feedback or changing needs.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct at all times.
Required Skills:
Previous experience in planning and organising activities.
Ability to deliver diverse activities.
Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety.
Experience managing groups and promoting inclusivity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible, adaptable, and solution-focused.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
