The Role





To provide high quality actuarial work using appropriate methods, systems and platforms in support of the actuarial function achieving its strategic objectives, and overall company ambition to achieve sustainable portfolios and profitable growth.

Key Accountabilities




Provide appropriate level of documentation and training to all users of actuarial work, in line with professional standards, internal standards and regulatory requirements Acts in accordance with and is an advocate of the Aspen Principles & Values Performs appropriate checks within processes to minimize errors and inaccuracies and verify data reconciliations Assists in wider initiatives, as required, and prioritised by Actuarial Management to align to business need Contributes to improving the Aspen actuarial process

Undertake investigations of data and technical issues to identify misuse or to identify training needs, as required


Knowledge, Skills, & Experience




Develop a good understanding of financial services industry best practice in actuarial analysis, modelling, and underwriting Develop a good understanding of Aspen insurance and business processes Develop a good understanding of compliance issues Basic programming capabilities in SQL, Python, or R (or similar language) Strong academic record in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Actuarial Science Capable and willing to work towards a recognised qualification relevant to the role and function Experience of working within a corporate environment
