Scutt's Potatoes are looking for an ad hoc part-time delivery driver to join our wholesaling enterprise at Eastrington.

A proven driver often leads to full-time employment as we are growing in size all the time and need more staff.

Generally, we need a resource of drivers to help on an ad hoc basis to cover for emergency orders and holiday cover. The amount of work is as much or little as is available and to suit from both parties' viewpoint. Our full-time drivers start their days between 6-8am and finish at some point in the afternoon Monday to Friday.

We wholesale and deliver potatoes to Fish and Chip Shops throughout Yorkshire.

The successful applicant will be working within a small friendly team, liaising between our potato growing enterprise, the farm office and our customers to deliver potatoes direct from farm to fish and chip shop using transit vans.

The applicant must:

Live within 12 miles of Eastrington

Have a full UK Driving licence Be strong and fit enough to be able to lift and handle 25kg bags of potatoes delivering to shop storage areas with the aid of a sack trolley. Be able to work independently and plan routes Have numeracy skills to complete invoices, daily paperwork and stock management reconciliation sheets. Be able to manage payments. Be motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Salary

This will be dependent on experience. The rewards for the successful candidate will be fair and you will become part of a small friendly family business.
