Job Description

Scutt's Potatoes are looking for a full-time delivery driver to join our wholesaling enterprise at Eastrington delivering potatoes to Fish and Chip Shops throughout Yorkshire.

The successful applicant will be working within a small friendly team, liaising between our potato growing enterprise, the farm office and our customers to deliver potatoes direct from farm to fish and chip shop using a Mercedes Sprinter van. Shops are generally within a 60 mile radius. A day usually comprises two runs with each run comprising 3-5 drops.

The working week is generally Monday to Friday with a 6.30-8.30am start time depending on the location of the first drop. The number of hours is usually around 6-9 hours per day.

The applicant must:

Live within 15 miles of Eastrington (DN14 7PH) Have a full UK Driving licence Be strong and fit enough to be able to lift and handle 25kg bags of potatoes delivering to shop storage areas with the aid of a sack trolley. Be able to work independently and plan routes Have numeracy skills to complete invoices, daily paperwork and stock management reconciliation sheets. Be motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

This will be dependent on experience. The rewards for the successful candidate will be fair and you will become part of a small friendly family business.
