Carmarthen Breakthro', an independent charity providing high quality leisure, social and fun activities for children and young adults with additional needs and/or a physical disability are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible

play worker

to join their already hardworking, dedicated and highly qualified team. Starting in January 2026.

Hours of work will be 9:30am-3:30pm for 2 Saturdays per month, as well as weekdays during school holidays. Availability to work 2-3 days during school holidays is essential. Additional hours available, covering staff holidays and sickness.

Main duties will include-

Supporting the play leader in the delivery of high quality, appropriate and fun activities.

Assisting with general tasks and all aspects of personal care.

Complying and following the charities policies and procedures.

Creating a fun, safe and happy environment for both our service users and staff.

Taking an active role in the promotion of the charity including charity events and fundraising activities.

A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development (CCLD) or equivalent, as well as a Play worker Qualification, or working towards these qualifications would be advantageous, as would experience of working within a childcare setting.

Carmarthen Breakthro' is located on Station Road, Nantgaredig. Reliable transport is required due to poor public transport links.
