Job Description

LG Howson Ltd, based in Ringwood, are looking to recruit an experienced administrator. We are a rapidly expanding family run Civil engineering business covering groundworks, landscaping, drainage, plant hire and specialise in wastewater treatment plants. This role will involve covering a range of different responsibilities and duties to ensure the smooth and effective running of the company office. Duties may change or vary day to day basis to ensure business requirements are met. Knowledge of a working trade environment/office would be highly beneficial but not essential.

Role Overview:



The Administration Assistant will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our office. You'll be responsible for a range of administrative duties, helping to ensure the smooth running of our projects and internal processes. This role was previously a part time position but due to the companies expansion, we are expanding the role and looking for a permanent candidate.

Key Responsibilities:



General office administration including filing, data entry, and managing email and phone enquiries Ensure all bills and expenses are entered via Dext & Xero and reconciled Checking supplier statements and bills Managing customer invoicing ensuring invoices are sent on time correlating to contract agreements Liaising with external accountant and answering queries Assisting with the preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence Liaising with site teams and suppliers to coordinate deliveries, orders, and materials Maintaining up-to-date records and databases Handling incoming and outgoing post Assisting with health & safety documentation and compliance records General office management to ensure office services run smoothly

Skills & Experience:



Previous administrative experience (preferably in a construction or similar industry) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficient in Xero or similar accounting package (training can be provided) Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Friendly and professional manner with a can do attitude

Pay: 24,420.00-38,139.19 per year
