Administrative Officer (Full Time) - Children's Services Residential Team

Overview
Cardiff Council's Children's Services is seeking a skilled Administrative Officer to support our residential services for vulnerable children and young people. You'll play a key role in providing high-quality administrative support in a multi-professional team working with a strengths-based (Signs of Safety) and trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional administrative support to residential services for children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and data management systems.
- Take minutes/notes of meetings with high levels of accuracy.
- Meet specific deadlines and adhere to procedures/guidelines with diverse workloads.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Remain flexible to meet changing service requirements.
- Work effectively under pressure, staying calm and focused on customer needs.
- Support a service model focused on individual needs of children, young people, and their families.
Requirements
- Experience working in an office setting.
- Good understanding of confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong administrative skills including record-keeping and data management.
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines and follow procedures.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to meeting customer (children, young people, families, staff) needs.
- Site-based working (not home-based).

Notes
- This is a full-time position.
