Provide administrative support to a busy accountancy practice
Hours:
Mon to Fri, either 09:00 - 1:00pm or 10:00 - 2:00pm
Salary:
27,500 per annum pro rata
Holidays:
25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata) + extra day for birthday

Overview
Gateway Accountancy Services is an award winning accountancy practice based in Cramlington, Northumberland. Due to an internal promotion and ongoing growth, We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience ideally within a financial function (e.g Accountancy) and administrative skills, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires proficiency in various computer applications, excellent phone etiquette, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
Onboarding of, and engagement with, new clients through a multitude of mediums including phone calls, emails and social media.
Dealing with client queries in a friendly, professional manner
Accurate management of client records in line with relevant statutory commitments, such as GDPR.
Booking new client meetings with the accountancy team/practice manager
Providing strong administrative support to the Accountancy team, Management Team and Clients across the wider Group Structure
Type letters, run reports and provide other general admin support services
Managing company correspondence including post, emails and packages
Assist the Practice Manager with diary management including scheduling meetings and appointments, ensuring catering is provided where requested
Minute taking responsibilities where delegated by the Practice Manager/Director
Data entry and client record maintenance
Managing office supplies, including tea/coffee supplies and general office stationary
Ensure office is kept clean and tidy
Provide a warm welcome to all clients and visitors, offering refreshments and ensuring they have a positive experience
Any other appropriate administrative/support tasks as requested by the management team.
Requirements
Proven experience in a busy office with a strong administrative background
Proficient computer skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
Experience with Financial Systems including TaxCalc, XERO and FreeAgent is advantageous but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills
Attention to detail in all aspects of work, particularly in data entry tasks
Previous Accountancy Practice experience is desireable
