We are looking for a
highly organised and motivated Admin Assistant
to support the
Children, Young People & Families (CYPF) team
at
Droitwich Medical Centre
. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a busy NHS setting and make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
What you'll be responsible for:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical and managerial staff within the CYPF team
Manage telephone calls and enquiries in a professional and confidential manner, ensuring accurate message taking and appropriate call handling
Organise and maintain patient records and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and stored securely
Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and clinics using appropriate NHS systems
Input and update data accurately on clinical systems
Draft, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting notes
Support general office tasks including scanning, photocopying, filing, and handling incoming/outgoing post
Adhere to NHS policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and data protection
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
Previous administrative experience within the NHS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
Familiarity with confidentiality protocols and information governance
Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
