Wildflower Meadows is a nurturing, child-led alternative provision based in West Berkshire. We're seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our small, values-driven team. This flexible, part-time role for 10 hours per week and is essential for ensuring our operations run smoothly, enabling our provision to grow and thrive.
Duties
Manage the inbox and respond to emails and enquiries professionally and warmly
Answer phone calls and relay messages accurately
Support referral and registration processes for new children
Maintain and organise digital records via Google Drive
Track staff training and assist with booking courses
Order supplies and manage stock levels
Support with social media updates and basic website edits
Assist with project-based admin tasks alongside the Provision Lead
Provide occasional in-person support for covering staff lunches or absences if needed
Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding procedures in all admin work
Experience
Prior office or admin experience is essential
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail); Microsoft Office also helpful
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confident, clear communicator with excellent attention to detail
Familiarity with working in education, SEND, or CICs is desirable
Experience with funding/grant applications is a plus
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) required
Safeguarding, although training will be provided
