We are looking for a motivated and well-organised individual to join our Building Control team as an
Administrative Assistant
. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment and has an interest in the construction and building control sector. The successful candidate will support the department's day-to-day operations and contribute to the efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and respond to general enquiries.
Process building control applications and associated documentation.
Maintain and update departmental records and filing systems.
Coordinate and schedule site inspections and internal meetings.
Assist with generating invoices and processing payments.
Provide general administrative support to the wider Building Control team.
Essential:
Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
Desirable:
Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
Knowledge of building control regulations or willingness to learn.
Experience with database or document management systems.
