, the role will provide day-to-day administrative support to the department, which comprises two Partners, a Legal Director, a Senior Associate, an Associate, a Solicitor, two Graduate Apprentice Solicitors, a Paralegal, a Trainee Solicitor and three support team members.
Under the umbrella of the Dispute Resolution department are several specialist teams focusing on Contentious Probate, Property Litigation, Employment, Commercial Litigation, and general civil disputes.
The role
As an Administration Assistant, you will provide essential support to all members of the department, enabling them to operate efficiently. This role is varied but includes:
Undertaking compliance tasks for the department, including but not limited to verifying and certifying ID, including over video calls, chasing client ID, collating ID information, completing relevant SOS documents in respect of compliance and carrying out checks through our search facility, including SmartSearch.
Scanning and managing post for the department.
Assisting with new enquiries and internal referrals.
Scanning documents onto the system, labelling documents appropriately and placing them into the correct folders.
Opening and setting up files, including preparation of the letter of engagement and accompanying documents.
Meeting with clients to complete basic forms or obtain further information and instructions.
Assisting the team to work on a paperlight/paperless basis where possible.
Preparing correspondence and documents.
Creating bundles of documents as required.
Closing and archiving files.
Updating and reviewing Katchr, or other management information systems, when necessary.
Obtaining and collating documents from the Land Registry and/or the court as instructed.
Organising and preparing the agenda and minutes for both monthly department and office meetings (subject to instruction and approval).
Sending necessary letters, deeds and documents to clients and preparing files for closure.
You will also be required to assist with other ad-hoc administrative tasks to support our busy team. This will include some reception cover during lunchtime and some holiday cover.

Our ideal candidate will:
Hold a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grade 4 or above.
Have recent administrative experience and experience in filing and paper management.
Be confident using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Outlook.
It would be desirable to have legal and/or law firm experience, but this is not essential.
Location and working hours
Full-time (office hours are 9am - 5.15pm, Monday to Friday)
Part-time considered (four days per week).
The role is based at our Prince House office in Bristol.
Salary
23,751 per annum. (Please note, the salary shown is based on full time, and will be subject to a pro rata salary if less than full time).
