Role: Administrative Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Reports to: Business Support Manager

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Who we are: D2 was established in 2017, with a primary focus on providing high quality properties to potentially vulnerable adults, families and young people. We currently support circa 20 Local Authorities across the UK with their Temporary Accommodation needs and are looking to grow our delivery and reach even further. We are proud to say that we offer Local Authorities a safe and homely alternative to the use of expensive, impersonal and impractical B&Bs. The Role: The Administrative Assistant will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the business. This role ensures the smooth delivery of day-to-day activities, contributes to effective service delivery, and supports colleagues and managers in achieving business objectives.

You will be responsible for:

Providing general administrative support, including scheduling meetings Managing correspondence, and maintaining records Ordering and managing office supplies and equipment Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, ensuring a professional and timely response Maintaining and updating business systems, databases, and filing systems (digital and paper) Coordination of meetings and events, including arranging venues, equipment, and hospitality Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes Undertaking any other duties as required to support business operations You will thrive here if you have: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant systems Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work Professional, approachable, and customer-focused Previous experience in an administrative or business support role (essential) Experience using digital tools and office systems An ability to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and discretion Flexibility and are adaptable to changing priorities The ability to works collaboratively to support colleagues and achieve shared goals A commitment to delivering a high standard of service What we offer: A values-led team, committed to dignity, safety and system change A culture of trust, reflection, and continuous learning Opportunities to grow within a strategic housing and support environment Wellbeing support Competitive salary
