The Role
We're looking for a proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Arboriculture Manager and wider operations team.
This role ensures smooth day-to-day coordination, accurate documentation, and professional communication across departments -- while also maintaining Sherratt Group's social media presence.
It's a varied position suited to someone organised, creative, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Provide admin assistance to the Arboriculture Manager and operational teams.
Prepare and manage job sheets, RAMS, work permits, and site documentation.
Maintain accurate databases for clients, suppliers, and contracts.
Coordinate internal meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
Support scheduling, timesheets, holiday records, and equipment tracking.
Ensure operational documentation is up to date and compliant with ISO standards.
Assist with quotations, purchase orders, and general correspondence.
Contribute to team success by offering flexible office support and cover for colleagues as needed.
All roles are subject to performance indicators and regular appraisal as a performance led business creating growth and outstanding customer experience.
Communications Support
Help maintain company communications and social media posts.
Share updates on completed projects, team achievements, and seasonal work where appropriate.
General Office Support
Handle calls, emails, and visitor enquiries in a professional manner.
Maintain office supplies and vehicle, insurance, and training records.
Support onboarding for new employees.
Provide cover for admin colleagues during absences or busy periods.
Record receipts and purchases for the accounts team.
About You
Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role (ideally in service, construction, or environmental sectors).
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, digital systems and social media, with knowledge and willingness to embrace AI integration.
Supporting business administration qualifications are desirable (or equivalent experience)
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Friendly, professional, and proactive attitude.
Ability to manage workload effectively in a dynamic environment.
