The Governors of Milnrow Parish CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, efficient, enthusiastic and approachable Administration Assistant to work as part of a highly motivated team.
The postholder will start as soon as possible depending on availability of applicant. Training will be provided, however, we would particularly like to hear from Administration Assistants who have experience of working within a school setting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the school office; building good relationships with pupils, parents, staff, governors and outside agencies. As the first point of contact for visitors to the school, the Administration Assistant must be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner. The school office is an extremely busy and fast-paced environment, therefore, the ability to self-manage, multi-task, whilst remaining calm, committed, friendly and approachable, is an essential requirement. Excellent IT skills with the ability to use a variety of software packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher is essential.
The will show the duties expected but as a guide the successful applicant will be required to carry out their duties which are:
Oversee/manage, as part of a team, the school office in order to provide an efficient and effective service.
Adhere and uphold school's GDPR practices and policies.
Input and check assessment data as required by the LA and/or DfE.
Oversee/manage the administration of pupil admissions and leavers including attendance at new intake meetings, where required.
Oversee/manage school's MIS system including year-end procedures and generation of reports and statistics, as required by school, LA and/or DfE where necessary.
Oversee/manage School Census
Book staff training; maintaining up-to-date training records to ensure all training, child protection/safeguarding, first aid etc. is up-to-date.
Book as necessary reactive work required on site as instructed by caretaker and/or school staff.
Oversee/manage stock and stationery ordering.
Oversee/manage arrangements and documentation for trips including, risk assessments, transport, LA Evolve system and communication.
Oversee/manage the School Fund account; maintaining petty cash and accurate/up-to-date recording of income/expenditure, reconciliation of bank statements and annual audit.
Assist the Headteacher/SLT with scheduling of meetings and training events.
Oversee/manage/assist with financial duties as required, including collection and banking of monies where required.
Undertake general reception/administration duties and financial tasks, including school meals.
Undertake communication with parents via school text messaging service.
Ensure the safety of pupils at all times by having a clear understanding of and the ability to follow, safeguarding measures and procedures.
