Blakeney Leigh Ltd is a medium sized Chartered Building Surveying and Architectural Design company. With an excellent reputation within the construction field, we undertake works on Public and Voluntary sector housing refurbishment projects, Private client refurbishment and commercial work throughout London and the South East of England.
We are now seeking a receptionist / administrator to support our small, friendly team. In this role, you will carry out a variety of administrative and general office tasks. Whilst there are some front-of-house duties, your support to the wider team will be most essential for our day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a balance working independently and with others.
The successful candidate will therefore be self-motivated, hardworking and have good communication skills.
Situated along the riverside in Greenwich, this location provides excellent transport connections, close proximity to the O2 Arena and a short walk into Greenwich Town Centre.
Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Managing the reception area; greeting visitors and liaising with the concierge
- Producing meeting minutes via audio recordings & issuing to clients
- Monitoring parking permits
- Answering & directing phone calls, taking messages as required
- Preparing the meeting room when necessary, offering refreshments to guests
- Maintaining accurate records, managing and filing documents
- Preparing letters and issuing to clients
- Managing incoming and outgoing postage
- Managing stationary needs and other minor office duties
- To assist surveyors with other various admin duties
Key Skills:
- Previous administration experience required
- Good quality of written and spoken English required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Time management and organisation skills, able to work to deadlines
- Ability to work independently under own initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Apple Proficient
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy skills
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and help out with all areas of the business as required
