We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our Medical Sciences Divisional Finance team. You will be assisting the team and its departmental partners to realise their world class research and academic ambitions.

Medical Sciences Division Divisional Office, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and other University / Departmental locations around Oxford with the option of some hybrid/remote working
Salary:
Grade 5: 31,459 - 36,616 per annum (pro rata part time)

This post is formally part of the University's Finance Division but is embedded within the Medical Sciences Division reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller (DFC).
The Medical Sciences Division is an internationally recognized centre of excellence for biomedical and clinical research and teaching, and the largest academic division in the University of Oxford. It includes 11 clinical departments, 5 non-clinical departments and two Institutes/Centres.

About the Role
Build effective working relationships across the Medical Sciences Division, Finance Division, and wider University.
Provide administrative support including diary management, meeting coordination (budgets, forecasts, planning, year-end), agendas, and minutes.
Organise training, conferences, and events, including logistics such as rooms, catering, and travel.
Maintain and improve office systems (databases, mailing lists, records, websites, newsletters, and online forums).
Support colleagues and projects as required, with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
About You
Proven administrative experience in a similar role
Proactive and flexible, 'can do' attitude, with a positive and enthusiastic approach
Strong proven teamwork skills
Commitment to customer service, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
The ability to work independently, with minimum supervision
The ability to organise own workload and to work to deadlines
Ability to organise events and make administrative arrangements
Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and experience of using a database system
