Poole, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Lytchett Minster School is looking for colleagues who are passionate about supporting teaching and who will relish the prospect of making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Administrative Assistant to share in the work of our thriving Student Support Centre and to work within a friendly and supportive team housed in excellent modern facilities. Whether you are new to working in a school, or are a more experienced and ambitious colleague wishing to develop your career, this vibrant and successful school can help you to develop and flourish.

We are looking for a motivated and highly efficient Administrative Assistant with a keen eye for detail, who can work flexibly to support our Student Support Centre in an environment where there are multiple conflicting deadlines and where frequent interruptions are commonplace. The working hours for this post are 8.30am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, on a permanent contract, 38 weeks, term time only.

Visits to the school are welcomed and we would be delighted to show you around our fantastic school. Please contact Sharon Parker, Head's PA, on 01202 622413 to arrange a tour.

If you would like to informally discuss this post prior to applying, please contact Kirsty Cowley, Head of Inclusion at cowleyk@lytchett.org.uk.

Set in a semi-rural location with an 18th Century family Manor House at its heart, Lytchett has one of the most beautiful and inspirational learning environments in the county with stunning extensive grounds and a number of modern extensions. The school is massively over-subscribed and highly regarded in the community. Parents know that Lytchett looks after its students, providing them with outstanding pastoral care and high-quality teaching. The school has a successful, thriving sixth form with over 340 students.

Lytchett has not joined a multi-academy trust, and has no intention of doing so, because it values its independence as a secondary school which serves its local community and produces outstanding outcomes for its students.

To find out more about the school, please refer to our 'What is it like to work at Lytchett?' document.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THIS ADVERT EARLY AND/OR TO APPOINT PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE. WE WOULD THEREFORE ENCOURAGE YOUR EARLY APPLICATION.

Lytchett Minster School values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.

The successful candidate will be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with the Governments safer recruitment guidelines.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
