Hours: 2 hours per week for 30 weeks per year on a one year contract

bout the Role




This post is designed to assist the academic leads of an exciting new legal clinic programme at SOAS . The clinic gives students the opportunity to work with legal supervision to provide advice to people in immigration detention.


The holder of this post must be a current SOAS law student.

The role involves


Written and verbal communication with clinic coordinator, student participants, supervising lawyers and other stakeholders Organising clinic files and helping maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents Assisting in organising operational matters of the clinic (e.g,. event co-ordination, room booking, transportation) Other general administrative tasks associated with the work of the clinic, including dealing with data management systems , for example CLIO software

As the role runs over 30 weeks per year for 1 year but entails a 4 to 5 hours number of hours per week, the role would be ideal for a current third year undergraduate, SOAS postgraduate taught or postgraduate research student in search for a meaningful but relatively light weekly commitment.
