Administrative Officer
Location: Nuneaton County Court, Warwickshire Justice Centre, Nuneaton, CV11 4WX
OFFICE BASED
Hourly rate: 12.53 per hour
Working Days/Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 7:30am - 6pm
Contract: This a temporary position until 31st December 2025 but due to be extended pending performance and business needs
Brook Street in partnership with the Ministry of justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Administrative Officer. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
Experience Needed/desired:

• Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English

Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. * Administrative experience

• good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Good IT skills
• Good typing skills
• Numeracy skills
• Good customer skills

List the duties/ responsibilities:

• General administration duties
• Data inputting, Microsoft Office package including, Excel
• Supporting the Judiciary with hearings using the Cloud Video Platform, MS Teams and other video / audio platforms.
• Producing court orders using the Courts bespoke systems and dealing with correspondence.
• Ensuring everyone has the correct papers needed/distributing these where necessary
• Some elements of telephone work where needed.
• Completing documents including standard letters, forms, applications, orders, records, registers, statistics etc
• Providing support to colleagues
• Operating office equipment

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Basic DBS
Training provided, what is their training plan and location of training:
No annual leave whilst in training.
1 to 1 with a member of staff and e-learning, then they will reach out to the team for help/assistant.
Additional clearance if applicable:
Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately require an additional overseas police check, this will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide.
