Name of Role: Administrative Officer (Tactical Surge Team)
Location: The Capital Building, 6 Union Street, Liverpool, L3 9PP
Salary: \xc2\xa312.84 per hour
Duration: This will be an ongoing temporary role with potential to move to a Fixed Term
Contract of 12 to 18 months, dependent upon performance. To start once security
clearance is obtained.
Hours: Full time, Mon - Fri, 9:00am - 5:00 pm

Adecco are recruiting for strong, experienced, administrative officers who are looking for an exciting challenge. The role will cover a wide range of multi-skilled duties across a range of UK locations and successful candidates would need to be willing and able to adapt to changing circumstances at the drop of a hat. The role may involve candidates being deployed outside of their area for periods of time to areas where there is the greatest need and team members will be expected to respond to critical/high priority situations without hesitation, agreeing to travel to destinations within reasonable commutable distance to the home base location. You will work from home sometimes, hybrid at others, and when asked to travel, all travel costs will be paid for.

Working collaboratively and positively with stakeholders, both internal and external, providing operational support to the team and accurately maintaining relevant computer system records of workstreams. Duties will cover a range of tasks from screening interviews and crisis support on location, to casework and data processing at office locations.

  • Excellent work ethic, process driven
  • Resilience and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent admin/IT skills, specifically MS Office Suite applications
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, emotional resilience and understanding of the needs of vulnerable people
Security Clearance:
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, we will need to apply, on your behalf, for security clearance and you will need to meet the following requirements:
Resided in the UK for the last 3 years
Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status
NI Number
2 x proof of addresses (all in UK)
5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month
3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month

Due to the nature of the work at the Home Office, the role can be subject to change based on the business needs at the time. Therefore, they need candidates with a flexible nature that can deal with change.

If placed into a role you will undergo extensive training and the expectation is that you will stay in that role for the duration of the assignment, or a minimum of 4 months, before we can reassign you into a different business area. If you feel the role upon offer is not suitable you will need to discuss this prior to undergoing training.
