Job Description

We are looking for an Administrator to work with the under 5 childhood immunisation catch-up team within the health visiting service and be part of the wider Guys & St Thomas' nursing community in the boroughs Southwark and Lambeth.



Communication, kindness and compassion are really important attributes in this role and you will be supported to develop your skills within experienced nursing teams. You should be highly motivated and enjoy working with people in a positive, energetic - and at times demanding - environment delivering care for children and families.



Our health visiting service is supported by a skill mix team that include innovative support services such as the Early Intervention Health Visiting Service, who support our most complex families. Our health visiting development workers, a dedicated resource working closely with Health Visiting Service to provide one-to-one support and advice to families who need additional support.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Administrator to join our Under-5 Childhood Immunisation Catch-Up Team, providing high-quality administrative support across Lambeth and Southwark. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to public health by supporting a team that plays a vital role in improving childhood immunisation uptake in the community.



In this role, you will:



Provide efficient administrative support to the immunisation team.



Support the planning and delivery of immunisation training and information sessions at children's centres.



Help build a positive immunisation culture in the community by promoting accessible, family-friendly services.



Work closely with the clinical team to support engagement with families, always upholding dignity, respect, and person-centred care.



Ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users in all administrative processes.



We welcome applicants with experience in customer service or health and social care, particularly those who have worked with families. Previous NHS experience is beneficial but not essential. If you are new to healthcare, we will provide the training and support you need to successfully transfer your skills and thrive in this role. Act as the first point of call for all patient queries to the Childhood Immunisation Catch-up Team across Lambeth and Southwark.

Provide high quality administrative support to the service. This may include

bookings meeting rooms and hospitality, organising audio-visual equipment, ordering department supplies such as stationery plus any other ad hoc duties.

Provide support to the Childhood Immunisation Catch-up Team - processing referrals, making bookings, entering data on EPIC and local council recording systems.

Typing and formatting of letters, reports, policies, minutes, presentations,

statistics and general correspondence/ documents, as required, using Microsoft Office and other software packages.



Provide support for meetings, including the preparation and distribution of

agendas and taking, transcription and distribution of minutes/ action notes.

Follow up of action points arising from meetings.



Provide administrative support to projects being managed within the service as directed.
