About Sea City Partnership (St Marys, Mulberry & Victor Street surgeries)
St Marys Surgery is a well-established, dedicated, large inner city GP practice offering care and support to all of our patients. We are working collaboratively with Victor Street and Mulberry Surgeries and looking to expand our Workflow team as we set up more centralised back-office functions across the three surgeries serving a population of around 40,000 patients across the city of Southampton. As an employer we review pay scales in line with the national living wage or above.
Job Summary
The post holder will support the Admin Team based at St Marys surgery, in a short term permanent position. The key aspect of the is flexible role is workflow optimisation, which involves reading & processing electronic documents including read coding, following set pathways and escalating documents to GP's or other members of the surgery team. Full training would be given but it would great to hear from you if you have workflow experience or indeed have previously worked in a GP practice/clinical environment and are looking for a change. We are a large team based over three sites so it maybe necessary at times to travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow optimisation
Process medical record requests from patients and other agencies
Read coding
Send invite letters/texts to patients
Scanning/filing
Process pathology results
General administrative duties i.e. processing tasks, dealing with enquiries from colleagues and patients
Receiving and responding to email requests
Other duties
The above responsibilities are not exhaustive. The post holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities commensurate with the expected levels of responsibility and scope of the role, within levels of attained competence.

Person Specification
Academic/Vocational Qualifications
GCSE/O level qualification in English and Mathematics
Experience
At least 2 years' experience of working in an administrative role
Ability to take in a lot of information and follow processes.
Experience working in within General Practice or clinical environment
Experience of workflow optimisation
Knowledge / Skills
IT literate
Communication skills, both written and verbal
Data Entry skills
Primary Care Clinical system - preferably TPP System-one

Hours: 3-4 hours per day
