Role Overview:
We are looking for an organised and reliable Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, students, and staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the tuition centre.
Working Hours:
15-20 hours per week
This includes 6 hours on Saturday morning (compulsory)
Remaining hours will be spread across weekday afternoons and evenings(Exact schedule will be confirmed at interview stage.)
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries in a professional manner
Manage student registrations, records, and attendance logs
Schedule lessons and maintain tutors' timetables
Process payments, issue receipts, and keep financial records up to date
Assist with preparing teaching materials and resources when required
Ensure the centre is well-presented, clean and welcoming at all times
Support management with general administrative tasks.
Tutors and the manager may call on you for technical assistance or general help, such as marking papers or printing resources, during sessions.
You will be responsible for the secure opening and closing of the centre.
Requirements:
Minimum GCSE-level education (or equivalent)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Word, Excel, Sheets etc.)
Ability to multitask and work independently
Previous admin experience (preferred but not essential)
Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
All applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check
