Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and organisational support, including accurate minute-taking.
Contribute to the planning, development, and operation of support service systems, procedures, and policies.
Manage manual and computerised information systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Collate data and produce reports, documents, and presentations as required.
Coordinate meetings and events, ensuring agendas, minutes, and documentation are prepared.
Support financial processes including invoice processing, coding, budget monitoring, and petty cash.
Operate ICT systems including Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, and internet applications.
Provide guidance and support to colleagues and cover for staff absences when required.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and that work complies with relevant policies and legislation.
Participate in training, development activities, and performance reviews.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Education
5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Maths and English - Essential.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant discipline - Essential.
ECDL or equivalent - Desirable (or commitment to achieve within 18 months).
Experience
Experience in the development, management, and operation of administrative systems - Essential.
Experience of working within local government - Desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent IT skills (Word, spreadsheets, databases) - Essential.
Knowledge of policies, codes of practice, and relevant legislation - Essential.
