We are seeking an experienced Administrator to provide high-level support to the Keeper of Department and contribute to the smooth operations. Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, you will liaise with senior staff, donors, and external contacts, manage diaries and travel, and provide support for meetings, events, and conferences.


The position is set to commence 22September and will be part-time (2-3 days onsite per week) for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 16.92 per hour + holiday pay


Key Responsibilities:



Act as first point of contact for enquiries, including senior staff, donors, and the public. Provide admin support: meetings, agendas, minutes, reports, correspondence. Manage Keeper's diary, conferences, events, travel, and special visitors. Track budgets, process orders, invoices, donor payments, and support acquisitions. Support HR processes: overtime, short-term contracts, holiday and sickness records. Coordinate volunteers/interns and liaise with other departments. Assist with collection management, loans in/out, and study room supervision. Support curators and projects; provide IT/administrative support across the Department. Ensure H&S and security procedures are followed; act as Department Safety Officer. Maintain filing systems, office equipment, stationery, and departmental records.
