Job Title: Administrator



Location: Ramsgate St, Lower Broughton, Salford, Salford Greater Manchester M7 2YL



Hours: Full Time or Part Time (Temporary)



What you'll be responsible for:



Undertaking audio clerical duties for your consultants, including minute taking as required, clinical letters, reports discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting. This may include administrative support relating to consultant tutorial work.

Providing first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries on behalf of your consultants, using judgement to establish validity and priority of the contact.

Dealing with any admission enquiries using judgement and observing patient confidentiality at all times.

Liaising with General Practitioner regarding clinic and domiciliary visits. Liaise with outside agencies, including Social Services, Coroner's office, other hospitals, general and geriatric, medical services, clients, and their relatives using their knowledge and judgement of any given situation.

Liaising on behalf of your consultants with multi-disciplinary team members with regard to requirements for joint outpatient's work/care programme activity.

Ensuring all discharge notification and summaries are generated and sent to General Practitioner within agreed timeframes.

To support the Medical PA in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within Salford Community Mental Health Team.

Undertaking general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, including taking minutes of the MDT meetings and other meetings as delegated by the Senior Administrator, and actioning any requirements identified within the meetings. They will be responsible for identifying and booking appointments with the Doctors and will answer and manage calls from patients and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals.

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:



Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner

Computer literate with excellent standard of keyboard skills

Ability to data input accurately

Previous office admin experience

NHS experience

Outlook/Paris - desirable

Typing experience
