What will you be doing?




As an Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting our research management teams by delivering comprehensive and efficient administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the research management lifecycle. Much of your work will involve organising meetings (both internal and external), managing diaries, and acting as the main meeting coordinator. You'll prepare and distribute agendas, take meeting notes, coordinate actions, and ensure timely follow-up.


Key responsibilities include:

Using our research information systems (MIS, Realms, Agresso, Award Management System) to complete tasks accurately and on time. Provide guidance and support to other users. Maintain paper and electronic records, supporting the wider team and Assistant Research Managers, Research Managers and Senior Research Managers Act as the first point of contact for queries from internal teams and external stakeholders. Support the development and continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes. Provide informal training and guidance to colleagues on administrative tasks.

Who are we looking for?




You will be experienced in administrative or secretarial support and will be comfortable working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and colleagues. Planning and organising work activities under your own initiative will come as second nature to you, and you will be able to provide clear and concise written documentation when needed.


Other skills to be successful in this role are:

Diary management. Proficiency in office software and/or Google docs Database experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage your time and workload.
