Salary: 25,786 p.a pro rata. Part-time (18 hours per week). Full year. Permanent. Based at London Road Campus.
Shrewsbury Colleges Group is looking for an Admissions Support Administrator to join our busy Admissions team. Strong growth in student recruitment and an ambitious growth plan for the college over the next three years mean that we're on the lookout for a skilled administrator to join us.
There is a load of variety in the role, and two days rarely are the same when working at the college. You'll work to provide a coordinated approach to applications and interviews, thereby delivering a high-quality service to school leavers and adults.
The Admissions team is a crucial part of the Communications, Admissions and Marketing (CAMs) team for the college, allowing you to benefit from working for an organisation that has a positive and enriching impact on people's lives.
What we're looking for is someone with a keen attitude and relevant experience of working in a busy team. You don't have to have worked in education previously, but some similar experience would be beneficial. Of course, we're looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and has a can-do attitude with good communication skills and a friendly personality.
This is a full-year role working 18 hours per week. Typical working hours will be 9 am until 3 pm, three days a week, but we will be flexible on the exact structure of the working week, which will be agreed with the successful candidate. There may be a requirement to attend student recruitment events in the evenings and at weekends; this will be by exception.
Given the customer-facing nature of this role, this position is an 'in-person' only job.

The college achieves excellent student outcomes and enjoys good financial health. The college was inspected in March 2025 and judged to be 'Outstanding'. As a result of continuing growth in student numbers we are looking to recruit outstanding colleagues who share our student centred ethos and commitment to excellence.
