Adult and Youth Worker

35 hours per week (fixed term until July 2026)

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to lead our highly successful King's Trust Team Programme within the Faculty of Arts and Continuing Education.

As an Adult & Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in Glasgow who face barriers to education.

This rewarding position involves:

Recruiting, managing, and supporting a team of young people aged 16-25 Delivering and developing the King's Trust Team Programme, which runs throughout the year Ensuring participants benefit from a high-quality learning experience


We are particularly interested in candidates with:

Strong knowledge of the local community, voluntary organisations, and support agencies A passion for empowering young people and helping them reach their potential


This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while contributing to a programme with proven impact.

Team Leader training will be provided if required, though prior qualification as a Team Leader is highly preferred

Applicants will be effective communicators with proven leadership skills. You will be computer literate with excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work alone and on your own initiative. Experience of supporting vulnerable groups is essential, as is a qualification at HNC level/SCQF level 7 in an appropriate subject area or have relevant skills and experience in an appropriate discipline.
