We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering personalised care and support in various settings, including residential homes and community environments.
Duties
Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Assist individuals with behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their socialisation and mental health.
Support clients with specific needs such as dementia care, hospice care, or senior care, tailoring your approach to meet their unique requirements.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate professionals.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or similar settings is highly desirable.
Skills in first aid and medication administration are advantageous for providing comprehensive support.
A background in patient care or working with individuals with dementia will be beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the individual needs of clients is crucial for success in this role.
