We are looking for a Senior Social Worker in our Adults City and South Community Team.

The team are based at Fawcett House in Trumpington.


We've embraced new ways of working so our social work teams can work where they need to and have the chance to be part of a collaborative team environment with strong working relationships with health professionals and partners to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support. What will you be doing?

The role will require you to lead on practice and performance development through the provision of high quality supervision and support of staff in line with The Care Act principles. You will take a lead on highly complex cases, working creatively in partnership with others to manage risk. You will also provide leadership, through managing essential functions of the team including complex safeguarding situations.


Our Community Teams are currently working to a hybrid model, with part-remote and flexible options available in line with our service needs. Once fully trained, our Social Workers will work from the office up to three days each week. This gives our Social Workers a quiet space and plenty of time for reflection whilst still balancing collaborative working and peer support. It has also increased our Social Workers autonomy and has had a positive impact on wellbeing and work-life balance.


About you

You will be passionate about being a Social Worker, a great leader and someone who is keen to share your knowledge and experience with others.

As such you will be a SWE registered Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years' experience and preferably a Practice Educator or working towards this. You will have a high level of interpersonal skills, undertaking multi-agency work with partner organisations, providers, individuals, families and carers.

You must:

Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration Have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
