The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Adults Social Worker to support adults and carers, promoting well-being, independence, and access to community resources. This is a hard-to-fill, rewarding role with a real impact on people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop support plans using a strengths-based approach.
Work with adults with complex needs to manage risk and ensure statutory compliance (Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983).
Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver effective services.
Mentor and support newly qualified social workers and team members.
Respond to safeguarding concerns, completing Section 42 enquiries as needed.
Attend court or provide evidence when required.
Maintain accurate records in line with Adult Services' Recording Policy.
Contribute to duty responsibilities, reflective practice, and continuing professional development.
Promote the welfare of children when working with vulnerable adults.
Support Continuing NHS Healthcare assessments where relevant.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, CSS, DipSW, NVQ 4 in Care, HNC Social Care)
Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
Knowledge of Care Act, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation
Strong assessment and risk management skills
Ability to travel across Worcestershire
