About the Role
We're hiring a
Social Worker
to join the Adults Disability team in
Powys County Council
. This is a full-time, flexible role (home/office mix) supporting adults with physical or learning disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives.
You'll be working within a supportive council structure, collaborating with other professionals, and making a real difference day-to-day.
What You'll Need
A recognised Social Work qualification
Registration with Social Care Wales
Experience in adult social care (disabilities focus ideal)
The ability to manage and prioritise your own caseload
Responsibilities
Assess and support adults with disabilities to enhance their quality of life and independence.
Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
Mentor junior staff and supervise care delivery to ensure compliance with Social Care Wales standards.
Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of client progress and adjust care strategies as needed.
Facilitate access to community resources and services to promote social inclusion.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 33.21-35.11 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
