  • Social Work England Registration
  • Extensive Adults Social Work Experience
  • Experience of safeguarding vulnerable adults
  • Have a full, valid driving licence and car available for work
This local authority based near Bradford is seeking an experienced Social Worker working age adults and Older People to complete Care Act Assessments and participate in DST meetings with health professionals.

Demonstrating an understanding of the duties and responsibilities that underpins the work of Adult Services, you will have knowledge and awareness of Safeguarding and Promoting the welfare of Adults.

This posts will have a particular emphasis upon the social care priorities including the Care Act and imperatives around safeguarding and strength based practice etc.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Understanding what harm or abuse is, recognising it and responding to it proportionately.
  • Assessing risks and emotional resilience
  • You are able to work in partnership with others within the service and external partners to put adults and carers at the heart of decision making.
  • Knowing your legal responsibilities and others roles and joint procedures
You will be involved in creatively supporting vulnerable adults to make decisions regarding their care and wellbeing, with a focus on strength-based practice.
