Our Advanced Breeding Team based in Newbiggin, Penrith are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, adaptable and self-motivated individual to join the team as Advanced Breeding Administrative Assistant

Job Purpose

Performance Standards Clinical and Business Excellence:-



Maintain an up to date standard of knowledge of clinical products and services, complying with Practice Standards, legal and regulatory requirements. Take ownership and responsibility for the handling and deliverance of your own tasks and responsibilities, ensure completion and follow up. Keep clients and colleagues informed of relevant practice promotions and marketing projects. Ensure accurate clinical records are maintained and updated with personal data and communications including telephone and texts. Communicate regularly to support and advise colleagues across all sectors of any changes to procedures, systems or client information. A culture of continuous learning and self-development is proactively encouraged with CPD provision from the Practice.

Job Role



Perform all administrative and practical duties within the Advanced Breeding (AB) office as listed below

Work with other AB staff to ensure efficient running of the department. Handle incoming enquiries into the department and ensuring all enquiries are resolved in a timely manner. Establish an excellent rapport with clients. Liaise with team members to ensure all relevant paperwork is completed as required. Use the VetIT system to charge clients and input information. Check and sign off invoices when issued by accounts. Prepare drug and consumables orders as required and ensure records are kept of drugs going in and out of the AB department Arrange couriers for domestic embryo shipments in and out of PVG and all related paperwork. Keeping accurate store records for embryos and ensuring stores are maintained for annual inspections Provide support to colleagues within the wider team as and when required Liaise with colleagues within the AB team and whole practice where required to maintain good communication, attend team meetings and assist with some ET work when required.

Knowledge:


? Interest and knowledge in Farming- particularly cattle Desirable

Pay: From 24,000.00 per year
